Weekly Update 52
Okay, so this post isn’t technically a video update, but it is your update for this week and there is a very good reason it isn’t on video. Ryder and I are both sick. We take turns having various levels of vocal quality, and honestly, we look like hell. But lots has been going on this past week and I’m going to tell you about it.
Ryder is riding out his last days working at the coffee shop. He’ll be sad to not see his co-workers, but neither of us will miss his 5:30am shifts. My last ‘day-job’ shift will be this Saturday. I’ll miss my co-workers and my regulars, but they’re all very excited for me. I know, because when I answer the office phone the first thing they say “You’re still there? When are you hitting the road?”. We’ve both been overwhelmed with the love and support we’ve received from our family, friends, and even acquaintances that have been excited by the project.
Probably the most exciting thing that happened this week happened yesterday. There was an article written about our project in The Province Newspaper.
Ryder has been installing more shelving in the PET and working to finish off the darkroom. We need a lot of storage for all of our equipment, clothes, food, and other supplies, so he’s being very crafty about the whole thing.
I’ve been doing a lot of preparation for our New Year’s Eve launch party, and I’m going to go ahead and guarantee that if you come, you will have a great time. There are some great acts that will be performing throughout the evening, and we have lots of prizes to give away. There will also be so many fantastic people there, everyone should be able to leave with at least one new friend.
We’ve also been producing some more videos for you all. We have 3 more videos in our web-mini-series that will take you from the beginning of the Canadian Frame(lines) project through to our January launch. And we have some fun holiday treats coming up for you NEXT week.
Finally, we’ve been packing up our house so that we’ll be all moved out before our New Year’s Eve launch, all while trying to celebrate the Christmas season and make time for our family.
Until next week, we hope you enjoy our new video series!
